The complete documentation file (referred to as metadata) for each data set on the Digital Atlas of Oklahoma is provided by clicking on the data set name of interest. The documentation files comply with the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata. The FGDC-compliant metadata files contain detailed descriptions of the data sets, and include narrative sections describing the procedures used to produce the data sets in digital form. The documentation files are stored in the \DOCUMENT\FGDC subdirectory on both versions of the Digital Atlas of Oklahoma.
